What does the free version include?

Everything is unlimited for 24 hours after you first open İngilizcelik on a device. After that you get 3 tests and 30 new word cards a day, renewed every midnight. Every round counts as a test, and so do the word game and the placement test. Cards that come back for review and practising your mistakes are always free.

What does the full version include?

Unlimited tests and word cards every day. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. With Apple Family Sharing, family members can use it on their own Apple ID and device.

I bought the full version but the app asks me to pay again.

Open Ayarlar (Settings) and tap Satın alımları geri yükle (Restore purchases). Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you bought it with. Family members need to be in your Family Sharing group.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles purchases. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How does the word game work?

14 words in 3 minutes. You see the Turkish meaning and spell the English word letter by letter on the on-screen keyboard. Each word is worth one point per letter; if you are stuck you can buy a letter, which costs one point. Words you don't find go to your practice list.

How do I turn off the reminders?

Switch off Günlük hatırlatma (Daily reminder) at the top of Ayarlar (Settings), or long-press a notification and tap Bir daha rahatsız etme (Don't disturb me again). The notifications are deliberately over-polite.

Will I lose my progress on a new phone?

If you move to your new phone from an iCloud or computer backup, your progress comes along. You can also save a file with Ayarlar › İlerlemeyi yedekle (Back up progress) and use Yedekten geri yükle (Restore from backup) on the other device. That is also how to move progress between an iPhone and an iPad.

I deleted the app. Can I get my progress back?

Only if you saved a backup file before deleting it. Progress is stored only on your device, so we cannot recover it.

My level looks wrong.

In adaptive mode your level settles where you get about 70% right, which can take a few rounds. If it is far off, tap Profil next to your name and retake the placement test. You can also choose a fixed level from A1 to C1.

Easy words like taxi and television never come up.

Words spelled almost the same as in Turkish are hidden by default. Switch off Ayarlar › Benzer kelimeleri gizle (Hide look-alike words) to see them too.

American or British English?

The app teaches American English. With Ayarlar › İngiliz İngilizcesini göster (Show British English) on, words that differ in Britain (color → colour, apartment → flat) also show the British form after you answer.

Can several people use one device?

Yes. Each name has its own level, practice list and history. Tap Profil next to your name to switch or add a learner. The free allowance is per device, not per person.

Does it work offline?

Yes. All words, sentences and audio are inside the app. You only need the internet to buy or restore the full version.

I found a wrong translation or a mistake in a sentence.
